Delete Account & Personal Data
In compliance with the Google Play Developer Policy and international data protection laws (GDPR/CCPA), you can delete your Study.Buddies account and all associated data at any time.

Method 1: In-App Instant Deletion
If you currently have the mobile app installed or are logged into the web client:
- 1Open Profile in the mobile app (or Settings on web)
- 2Scroll down and tap Delete Account
- 3Type
DELETEin capitals into the confirmation prompt - 4Confirm to immediately and permanently wipe your account and data
Method 2: Web Request (No App Needed)
If you have uninstalled the app or lost device access, you can submit a deletion request to our Data Controller:
- Send an email from your registered account email address.
- Use subject:
Account Deletion Request. - Our team verifies ownership and wipes all data within 48 hours.
Data Deletion & Retention Breakdown
We practice data minimization and respect your right to be forgotten:
Data Permanently Deleted:
- • User profile, email address, display name & avatar
- • All handwritten notes, OCR text, and summaries
- • All recorded audio files in Cloudflare R2 storage
- • Scanned textbook pages and imported PDF documents
- • Flashcard decks, quiz histories, and focus statistics
Data Retained (Legal/Financial):
- • Anonymized subscription transaction tokens (up to 24 mo)
- • Compute credit ledger records for tax and legal audits
- • Zero note contents or user media is retained
